Bank not empowered to do so by the Imperial government. If so, I would
suggest. (having regard
to the great inconvenience of altering the Ordinance) that eulject to further instructions from the Secretary
of State it be permitted to remain
in its present Form, and that His
Excellency the Governor should under
the Provisions of Section I, cause
X.

be
be inserted in the deed of Settlement
of the Bank a clause making it
obligatory on them before establishing
etgencies in
any
places under
the
government of India to apply for and
obtain the permission of that govern -
ment so to do.

can also be inserted in the Deed, but
case may
be made a condition
